ISKCON Temple (इस्कॉन मंदिर)
The Iskcon Temple is also known by the name Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir. It is a temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radharani in the form of Radha Parthasarathi. The construction of the Iskcon Temple was completed in the year 1998 and it was opened to the local people. The temple is situated in the East of Kailash area of the capital of India and is in hills which were known by the name Hare Krishna Hills.
The designing and architecture of the temple was done by Achyut Kanvinde and he designed the temple all according to the Hindu mythologies and religious practices. The temple was designed in a way that it became one of the largest temples premises in India. The temple was built on a very large scale such that it has separated numerous rooms for the priests stay. The complex of the temple has many halls in which the prayers and meetings of the people takes place.
The environment inside the temple complex is so quiet and calm that there is peace all around the temple. One can devote their time here and hence may worship peacefully. The temple is made up of marble of very fine quality that it looks so shiny and wonderful.
The temple opens at 4:30 AM in the morning and closes at 9 PM in the night with a gap of 1 PM to 4 PM. Aarti is done every day in the morning which is known as mangala-arati, after which the worship of Tulasi Devi, Sri Narasimha Arati and Suprabhata Seva for Srinivasa is done. The prayer and aarti is followed by kirtans where the local people also join the prayers and also dance in along with the other people.
