Benog Hill Trek (बेनोग हिल ट्रेक)
Benog Hill Trek lies in the Mussoorie city of Uttarakhand. It is located at almost 11 km from the Library Point from the Mussoorie City. The Benog Hill Trek is located at apposition such that the trek is surrounded by various different varieties of trees which include pines, cedar, and various other medicinal plants that are found in this area in a very large quantity. Due to the trees located in the vicinity there are large varieties of birds and animals which can be found here. There are many tourist spots near the Benog Hill which includes the Benog Wildlife Sanctuary which is a large tourist attraction in the city.
Variety of Flora-Fauna
Due to the wide variety of natural vegetation and flora which is there on the trek, it attracts many wide varieties of fauna. This mainly includes birds, white capped water Redstart, the Red Billed Blue Magpie, and the mountain quails. In the category of animals it includes the species of Himalayan Goat, Panther, Leopard, Deer and Bear. The view as it is can be seen from the top is beautiful and amazing. It makes us so adorable that one is attracted to this natural beauty.
How to reach Benog Hill
The Benog Hill is situated at a distance of 11 km from the Library Point of the Bus stand of Mussoorie./ The journey could be done by the buses which may be of government or the privately owned. It takes almost 30 minutes to reach there from the Library Point.
The Benog Hill trek is open 12 months in a year. But the best time to visit the sanctuary is from April to November. This is because it is difficult to make a travel journey in the winter season. The best time to visit the trek is from 7 AM to 5 PM. It takes almost a day to fully visit the trek.
